Mermaid Doll

Here is my first attempt at making a stuffed mermaid doll. I read a book at the library called We Make Dolls

There was a mermaid in there and thought I would give it a try. Of course I changed it to fit my needs.

Materials used:

Cotton fabric
Felt
Satin Ribbon
Pastel Chalk
Thread
Poly-Fil Stuffing
Fabric paint in pearl white
All purpose paint in pink

I sat there for 1hr doing the tail alone. It took me a while to do the scales on her tail. I did have bigger red lips on her but took them off and used fabric paint to make it more fitting for her.   I named her Lucy.

I know I can make improvements on making my mermaids and I will for all future. I love how she turned out.

Tilda Dolls Finally finished

I made some Tilda Dolls with my own dress and short patterns that I created. Each of these dolls are Christmas Gifts Heading to their new homes soon. Just need to package them up and send them on their way. Each of the dolls have their own pair of shorts.

This first Tilda Doll is for one of my nieces.  She said she wanted Elsa type hair.

LOVE how her hair turned out.

This second Doll is going to my other niece.  She wanted Blonde hair.  I put her in pigtail braids for easier  styling later.

The next 2 Tilda dolls are going to my mom. She is giving one to my cousins daughter and one stepbrothers daughter. My mom requested both of the dolls be blonde. These were the first 2 I made before I started the other two above. These two also have their own pair of shorts. They have thick curly pigtail braids.

I made two jackets and a cape. The first jacket in the photo was the first one I tried. It is form fitting or snug/tight.

This 2nd jacket is a little looser and easier to take on and off.

Made a reversible cape.

Not sure if I am sending out the jackets and the cape yet. I may put these on other dolls. Havent quite decided yet.

So be sure to join and check out their hops. For each svg cut I put together it has 36 pieces from start to finish thats 252 pieces for all 7 image cuts WOW .

Used card stock, scotts quick dry adhesive, honeybee scissors, Merry Christmas stamp, archival ink pad, Tim Holtz distress inks on the Merry Christmas, stickles on the star, white gel pen, and fine tip permanent marker for the eyes.  Used my Handmade By Stephanie stamp on the backs of the cards and envelope.

Thanksgiving Cards

Give Thanks Blog Challenge!!!

Here are a few more cards I created. I ran out of the Thanksgiving cards I previously showed.  I had to make more of course!!! The challenge is over at http://svgcuttingfiles.blogspot.com/2014/11/give-thanks-blog-challenge.html

You can find some awesome files over at their page http://www.svgcuttingfiles.com/

The Pilgrim Snoopy is not found on their page because it is from a previous blog hop.  They do tons of challenges and hops for free files. Isn't that awesome. They are one time files for those hops and will not be released again. The gals who design for them have great projects too!

I love their files. They are so addicting as you can see. I can't believe that I have made these many cards. I am not usually a card person but I think I maybe now. Ive gotten my inspiration back! Thanks for visiting me today.

Happy Crafting and please go check out their page.

Thanksgiving Cards

Give Thanks Blog Challenge!!!

There are some cards I made for family. Normally don't do cards too often but I got inspired by this blog challenge over at http://svgcuttingfiles.blogspot.com/2014/11/give-thanks-blog-challenge.html
I got this file from one of the blog hops they hold on their site. The files we get are a one time deal so if you want the files you must show up and participate and comment. I love their hops.  I used the woodstock and pumpkins.

I used various card stock, gel pen, stickles, ink pads for edges, my atg tape gun, tombo glue, and scotts quick dry glue. I typed and printed out the sentiment "Happy Thanksgiving" seeing I can't find some of my stamps or just dont have one. Any who I love how he turned out. Now to sign and mail them off to family.

Hope you create something to give thanks. Happy Crafting everyone!

A little Drawing

Here is a little drawing I created with inspiration for this coin can. It is a bit similar but different in some areas. This is too cute.  On the can it says: " All The Happiness You Can Handle" its too cute not to draw. Love how it turned out.  Now draw something fun!

Christmas Cards 2014

Here are some Christmas Cards I made for Friends and family this year. I may have to make a few more if I missed anyone on my list hehe.

I used card stocks, inks, seam bindings, and printed the sentiment out that I made. The cute snow flake was used from http://svgcuttingfiles.com/catalog.php?item=106 . I inked the edges of the snowflake, head, mouth, and sentiment. I used seam binding to add a little touch to it. It came out cute. I cut each card to fit the size of the envelopes I bought at Michaels. I was soooo glad the images fit because I wasn't sure lol.

I hope you like it and Happy Crafting!

Give Thanks Blog Challenge

I got some inspiration this last night and this morning to make something cute and fun.  Over at http://svgcuttingfiles.blogspot.com/2014/11/give-thanks-blog-challenge.html they are having a blog challenge. I haven't done one in while being so busy with schooling my kids and other life stuff. I decided to make something CUTE and adorable. I used a file from their site. Here'e the link http://svgcuttingfiles.com/catalog.php?item=193 . I used the the cute little sheep and typed and printed Thank Ewe for the sentiment. The little sheep from the file was ADORABLY cute. I use inks to add shading to the edges. Used bling for the cheeks. Used a white gel pen to highlight the eyes. Popped the cute sheep on fun foam and added it to a card I made using card stock. I just measured from the envelope and went smaller. I love these files from their shop. THEY'RE CUTE!

So THANK EWE for visiting my page and Happy Crafting.

Christmas gifts coming together

Here is my Christmas gifts I've been working on. Right now I am just doing the dolls and dresses. I've designed and patterned each doll dress and shoe to fit each one.  Each of the dolls have shorts underneath and they all have buttons. Each one placed differently. Once I have completed the dolls and dresses I will be working on their hair and face and then all done. Sewing the arms on takes forever!!!!!!! Each doll is unique and ONE OF A KIND so the little owners receiving them will have their one and only for them. I will be posting more photos once they are done

Christmas presents in the works

I am currently working on some Tilda dolls for my 2 nieces, cousins daughter, and step brothers daughter. Need to finish them before Christmas so I can get them shipped out. I made my own dress pattern and shoes for them.  On the doll already made I hand rolled tiny roses to put on the shoe. The dress is lined. She also has a pair of shorts that fit her perfectly!  I made a pattern for that too! I did have to hand sew the bottom where the legs are on the shorts because it was too hard to machine sew it. I have 3 bodies sewn and cut out and 1 arm sewn and cut out. Finished drawing the legs and arms. I was not sure if I was going to have enough fabric but it was perfect! I have a few scraps left after I sew and cut. Going to draw another pattern for the dolls. I want them to all be different and one of a kind for the girls who are receiving them.

More photos to come!

I added a invisible zipper to the side back.  Added some floral plastic buttons from my scrapbook stash to make it a little more girly. Its out of this world hehe.
